About
Growing up in New York City, I have always felt so fortunate to be surrounded by some of the world's most highly regarded artworks. With such assessability to the various museums and galleries, I became increasingly fascinated by everything regarding art.
The more I explored it, however, the more I realized how privatized the art world truly is, despite the various public spaces reserved for its viewing. I was astonished to learn how many works are kept in storage or in private collections, away from the public eye. Upon this discovery, I grew inspired to (humbly) try and do the opposite, publicize it.
Through Aperture, I hope to provide the public with access to works of art that generally remain in private collections and unknown to widespread audiences. I aspire to share my love for art with the public and make viewing it that much more accessible.
I believe art is an essential and defining characteristic of any culture and, as such, should be shared, learned about, and enjoyed by all.
